Waterjet Cutting

Overview

Waterjet cutting offers a cost effective alternative to other cutting methods where tight tolerances are required. Waterjet cutting is useful to cut parts that fall beyond the scope of laser cutting. The process uses cold water, therefore no distortion, no heat input and no change to the mechanical properties of the material. We are able to cut a wide variety of materials using the waterjet cutting method including:

  • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals of various grades.
  • 50C Structural Steel.
  • Hard wearing material (SS10/200).
  • Domex – Various grades.
  • Quenched & Tempered steels – Various grades – including Hardox, Weldox, Roq – Tuf, Roq – Last.
  • Titanium, Brass, Copper, Tool steel, Spring steel, Friction material, Wood, Tungsten, Ceramics, Plastics, Perspex, Glass, Granite, Marble, various types of rubber, Vesconite, Fibre Glass, Channels and Angles.

  • 3 000mmm X 2 000mm.

Maximum material thickness

  • Mild Steels : 100mm.
  • Stainless Steels : 100mm.
  • Aluminium : 150mm.

Other information

  • Twin head cutting for faster processing time.
  • Cold water process, therefore no heat affected zones.
  • Up to 0.5mm tolerances, dependant on the type, thickness and contours of the parts to be cut.
